Cabbage pancakes recipe ingredients:

  • 300g cabbage
  • 1 onion
  • 200ml kefir
  • 1 egg
  • 5 tablespoons of flour
  • 1/3 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • salt to taste
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • sour cream to taste
  • vegetable oil for frying

Cabbage pancakes recipe instructions:

  1. Finely chop the cabbage and season with salt and pepper. Then, knead the cabbage with your hands.
  2. Peel and grate the onion, and peel and crush the garlic. In a bowl, combine the cabbage, onion, and garlic.
  3. Add kefir, egg, flour, baking powder, and mix well.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a pan, and fry the cabbage pancakes on both sides until golden brown.
  5. Place the pancakes on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  6. Serve hot with sour cream.

Note: “Kefir” is a fermented milk drink that is similar to yogurt but thinner in consistency. It can be substituted with buttermilk or yogurt.
