Apple Jelly

Мармелад из яблок

Ingredients:

  • 2 kg apples
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1-1.3 kg sugar

Directions:

  1. Peel and core the apples. Cut them into small pieces and put them in a pot.
  2. Add warm water and cook on low heat with the lid on until the apples become soft.
  3. Mash the cooked apples through a sieve. Add sugar and cook on low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and becomes jelly-like.
  4. Spread the apple jelly onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Smooth it out and let it rest for a day.
  5. After a day, cut the jelly into large cubes and roll them in sugar or powdered sugar. You can also put the jelly into glass jars, sprinkle sugar on top, cover with parchment paper, and seal with plastic lids.
  6. Store the jelly in a cool place.
