
Ingredients:
- 1-1.5 kg garlic For the sauce:
- 1 liter water
- 100 ml 9% vinegar
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp salt
- whole black peppercorns to taste
- bay leaf to taste
Instructions:
- Clean the garlic heads from the outer layer and immerse in boiling water for 2 minutes.
- Immediately transfer to a pot of cold water and let cool for 30 minutes. You can add ice cubes to keep the water cold for longer.
- To make the sauce, bring water to a boil and add sugar, salt, and spices. Pour in the vinegar when the sauce starts to boil and let it boil again.
- Strain the cooled garlic and remove excess liquid. Place the garlic in sterilized jars and pour the hot sauce over it.
- Seal the jars with sterilized lids and leave them at room temperature for 10 days. Store in a cool place.
- Marinated garlic is ready!
