Ingredients for Marinated Pepper recipe:
- 1 kg sweet pepper
- 6 pieces of black peppercorns
- 4 pieces of bay leaves
- 6 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 L water
- 2 tbsp salt
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp 9% vinegar
Instructions: Peel and wash the sweet pepper thoroughly. Heat 3 liters of water in an enamel pot until it boils. Lower the pepper, in small portions, into boiling water for 3-5 minutes. Then immediately immerse in cold water for 2-3 minutes. You will need 2 sterilized 1-liter jars.
Place 2 bay leaves and 3 black peppercorns on the bottom of each 1-liter jar. Then place the prepared pepper as tightly as possible. To prepare the sauce, heat the water to boiling. Add salt, sugar, and vinegar.
Bring to a boil and pour the boiling sauce over the prepared sweet pepper. On top of each jar, pour 3 tbsp of vegetable oil that has been heated and cooled to 70 degrees Celsius. Put the prepared jars in a sterilizer and sterilize at 100 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes.
After that, seal with sterilized lids and place upside down on a flat surface. Wrap and let cool. Marinated pepper is ready!
