Goose Stuffed with Rice Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2.5-3 kg goose
  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 apples
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2-3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions:

  1. To make the filling, wash and cut the apples into small pieces, removing the seeds.
  2. Heat the sugar in a dry frying pan until it turns a light brown color. Add vegetable oil and apple pieces, stirring constantly for 10-15 minutes.
  3. In a separate pot, cook the rice in salted water until fully cooked. Rinse with cold water and mix with the cooked apples and diced bell pepper.
  4. Wash and dry the goose with a paper towel. Rub salt over the entire surface of the goose and fill the cavity with the prepared rice mixture. Secure the opening with wooden skewers and place the goose on a baking sheet.
  5. Spread mayonnaise all over the goose and bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius until golden brown. Cover with foil, reduce the heat, and continue baking until fully cooked.
  6. Place the cooked goose on a serving dish, decorate as desired, and serve.
