Chicken Ragout Recipe

Ingredients for Chicken Ragout recipe:

  • 1 kg chicken carcass
  • 4 potatoes
  • 1/4 cabbage
  • 1 onion
  • 1 carrot
  • 4 tbsp frozen green peas
  • 3-4 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1.5-2 cups water
  • fresh dill to taste
  • fresh parsley to taste
  • green onions to taste
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • salt to taste
  • vegetable oil for frying

Instructions for cooking Chicken Ragout:

  1. Peel and wash the vegetables. Cut the onion and carrot into strips, the potatoes into cubes, and the cabbage into large random pieces.
  2. Wash the chicken carcass, dry it, and cut it into small portioned pieces.
  3. Put the onion and carrot in a frying pan with heated vegetable oil and fry until golden brown. Add the chicken pieces, lightly fry, and pour in the diluted tomato paste. Simmer over low heat for about 20-30 minutes.
  4. Then add the prepared vegetables, salt, pepper, and simmer until the vegetables are almost fully cooked.
  5. Add the frozen green peas and finely chopped dill and parsley. Simmer for about 5 minutes, then remove from heat and let it sit for another 5 minutes.
  6. Serve garnished with finely chopped green onions.
