Dumplings in a pot with liver

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • Ready-made dumplings – 1 kg
  • Beef liver – 100 g
  • Onion – 1 piece
  • Flour – 150-200 g
  • Vegetable oil – 1-2 tbsp
  • Broth or water – 1 L
  • Bay leaf – to taste
  • Salt – to taste
  • Seasonings – to taste
  • Sour cream – to taste

Recipe: Sift flour and mix with cold water and a small amount of salt. Knead a thick dough, cover it with cling film and leave it for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.

Wash and clean the beef liver from membranes, pat it dry and cut it into thin strips. Peel and dice the onion, then fry it together with the liver in sunflower oil for 5-7 minutes. Defrost the dumplings and boil them in salted water until semi-cooked. Then, put the fried liver and onions in ceramic pots. Add the dumplings, salt, broth or water in which the dumplings were boiled, bay leaf, and seasonings.

Next, take 4 pieces of dough, roll them out thinly and cover the pots with them. Place the pots in the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes at a temperature of 180-200 degrees Celsius. Serve with sour cream. Dumplings in a pot with liver are ready.
