Ingredients for Paella with Chicken and Seafood Recipe:

  • Rice – 200 grams
  • Chicken broth – 500 ml
  • Water – 1 cup
  • Chicken breasts – 2
  • Hunter sausages – 100 grams
  • Smoked bacon – 50 grams
  • Onion – 1
  • Mussels – 12
  • Tiger prawns – 10
  • Squid – 300 grams
  • Garlic – 3 cloves
  • Red bell pepper – 2
  • Butter – 50 grams
  • Tomatoes – 3
  • Chili pepper – 1 ring
  • Paprika – 1 teaspoon
  • Saffron – a pinch
  • Parsley – to taste
  • Lemon – to taste
  • Salt – to taste
  • Olive oil – for frying

Instructions for Paella with Chicken and Seafood Recipe:

  1. Heat the chicken broth in a saucepan over low heat. Add saffron, mix, and let it infuse.
  2. Carefully clean the mussels with a brush, scrape off with a knife, and transfer to a small saucepan.
  3. Pour in water and cook over low heat for 3 minutes, then transfer the broth in which the mussels were cooked to a separate container.
  4. Cut the chicken breasts into small, uniform pieces. Cut the hunter sausages into pieces about 1.5 cm thick, and slice the bacon into thin pieces.
  5. Wash the bell pepper, remove the seeds, and cut into cubes. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic.
  6. Wash the tomatoes and parsley and dry with paper towels. Then peel the tomatoes and cut into small pieces, and finely chop the parsley.
  7. In a deep frying pan with a thick bottom, heat the olive oil and add the chicken meat. Fry for 5 minutes, then transfer to a plate.
  8. In the remaining oil in the pan, fry the bacon for 5 minutes. Transfer to a separate plate, and then fry the hunter sausages in the same oil for 5 minutes. Transfer them to the plate with the bacon.
  9. In the same frying pan, add the onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Fry for 5 minutes, then add the carefully washed rice, bell pepper, chili pepper, salt, and bay leaves.
  10. Mix everything thoroughly and cook for another 2 minutes. Then add the fried chicken, bacon, and sausages. Pour in the broth from the mussels, the saffron-infused chicken broth, and mix everything together. Cover the pan with foil and place in a preheated oven.
