Limoncello

Лимончелло

Ingredients:

500 ml 95% alcohol

500 g sugar

650 ml water

10 lemons

Instructions:

  1. Wash the lemons, cut off the peel from each lemon, and put it in a glass jar.
  2. Pour the alcohol over the peels, tightly close the jar with a lid, and place it in a dark place for 5-10 days to infuse.
  3. Shake the infusion every day.
  4. After 5-10 days, prepare the syrup. Pour the sugar into a saucepan, add water, and heat it up while stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  5. Strain the lemon infusion through a fine sieve, pour it into the sugar syrup, and mix well.
  6. Pour the limoncello into clean, dry bottles, seal them, and place them in a dark place for another 5 days.
  7. After 5 days, the limoncello is ready! Serve chilled as a digestif or use it in cocktails.
