Pelmeni in a pelmeni maker

  • 1 egg
  • 500 grams of flour
  • 125 ml of milk
  • 450-500 grams of ground meat
  • 1 onion
  • Ground black pepper, to taste
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions for the recipe Pelmeni in a pelmeni maker:

  1. Mix the egg with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and milk.
  2. Add sifted flour and knead until you get a smooth and elastic dough. Cover it with a towel and set aside while you prepare the filling.
  3. For the filling, peel and chop the onion. Grind it together with the ground meat in a meat grinder.
  4. Add ground black pepper and salt to the mixture and mix well.
  5. Roll out the rested dough into 2 sheets, the size of the pelmeni maker. Sprinkle some flour on the surface of the pelmeni maker and place one sheet of the dough on top.
  6. Use a portion spoon to place the ground meat filling. Cover with the second sheet of the dough and roll it out with a rolling pin to make sure the edges of the pelmeni are sealed.
  7. Boil the pelmeni in salted water until cooked, about 5 minutes.
