Dumplings in a Pot Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Ready-made dumplings – 500g
  • Mayonnaise or sour cream – 200g
  • Water – 100ml
  • Mushrooms – 200g
  • Onion – 1
  • Hard cheese – 200g
  • Butter – for greasing
  • Seasonings – to taste
  • Salt – to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Herbs – for decoration

Instructions:

  1. Wash and dry the mushrooms, slice them and put them on a hot frying pan with vegetable oil.
  2. Wash and chop the onion into cubes, add it to the mushrooms. Add salt and spices, and fry until all the liquid evaporates.
  3. Grate the cheese using a medium grater. Grease the bottom and walls of the pots with butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Then, layer the dumplings, fried mushrooms with onion, grated cheese, and repeat all layers again.
  4. Prepare the marinade by mixing mayonnaise or sour cream with water, salt, and pepper. Pour the marinade into the pots, covering the dumplings completely.
  5. Cover the pots with lids and place them in the preheated oven at 175°C for 30-40 minutes.
  6. Once done, transfer the dumplings to a plate, garnish with herbs, and serve.
