Carrot Pie Recipe

Морковный пирог

Ingredients:

  • 450g carrots
  • 250g flour
  • 100ml vegetable oil
  • 180g sugar
  • 100g raisins
  • 20ml lemon juice
  • 10g baking soda
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp butter
  • Powdered sugar to taste

Instructions:

  1. Peel, wash and grate the carrots. Rinse the raisins, pour hot water over them and leave to soak. Then drain the water and pat the raisins dry.
  2. Sift the flour and mix with cinnamon, nutmeg and raisins.
  3. Beat the eggs with the sugar using a mixer until smooth. While still beating, gradually pour in the vegetable oil. Add the grated carrots and baking soda dissolved in lemon juice.
  4. Mix everything thoroughly until smooth. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and bake at 170-175°C for about 1 hour.
  5. Let the pie cool, dust with powdered sugar and serve with tea. Enjoy your meal!
