Before starting to cook the buckwheat groats, you need to wash it thoroughly and fry it in a dry skillet until a light nutty aroma appears. While the buckwheat is cooking, fry the peeled and sliced onion rings in a large amount of vegetable oil. After the onion turns golden, add well-rinsed, cleaned, and thinly sliced mushrooms. Continue frying until all the moisture has evaporated.

After the buckwheat is cooked, cover it with a towel and leave it for a couple of minutes to become crumbly. After that, add the buckwheat to the skillet with the onion and mushrooms.
