Beef with Prunes in the Oven

Ingredients:

  • 1-1.3 kg beef tenderloin
  • 200g prunes
  • 1 carrot
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 onion
  • parsley, to taste
  • dill, to taste
  • black pepper, to taste
  • salt, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the meat and pat dry with a paper towel.
  2. Peel and chop the carrot into small pieces.
  3. Chop the garlic into small pieces.
  4. Soak the prunes in hot water for 10 minutes, then drain and chop into small pieces.
  5. Cut deep slits all over the surface of the meat with a sharp knife.
  6. Stuff the meat with the chopped carrot, garlic, and prunes.
  7. Rub salt and spices over the entire surface of the meat.
  8. Fold a piece of foil in half and place the onion rings, parsley, and dill on top of it. Place the meat on top of the herbs.
  9. Place more onion rings and herbs on top of the meat.
  10. Wrap the meat in foil, place it in a cast-iron pot, pour a little water into the pot, and cover with a lid.
  11. Preheat the oven to 250-300 degrees Celsius and bake the meat for 40-60 minutes.
  12. Beef with prunes in the oven is ready!
