Ingredients for the recipe:
- Kefir – 250 ml
- Flour – 2.5-3 cups
- Egg – 1 piece
- Vegetable oil – 3 tbsp
- Sugar – 5 tbsp
- Baking soda – 1/2 tsp
- Salt – a pinch
- Powdered sugar – to taste
- Vegetable oil – for frying
Instructions:
- Beat kefir with egg, salt, and sugar until homogeneous.
- Add baking soda, pour in vegetable oil, and gradually add sifted flour, kneading the dough until smooth and slightly sticky.
- Divide the prepared dough into two parts. Roll out each part to a thickness of about 10 mm and cut circles from the dough. Use a pastry cutter to make a small circular hole in each circle of dough. Use the remaining dough to make donuts.
- Fry the donuts in hot sunflower oil on both sides until golden brown.
- Place the donuts on a strainer to drain excess oil, transfer to a plate, and serve, decorating with powdered sugar. Enjoy your tea time!
